This Privacy Policy explains how Hono Labs LLC ("Hono Labs," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with our website at honolabs.io (the "Site") and our software products, including the HonoFit application (together, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being clear about what we collect and why.
1. Information we collect
The Site. The honolabs.io website is a simple informational site. It does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to submit personal information. We do not use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may process standard, aggregated technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the Site.
If you contact us. When you email us at hello@honolabs.io, we receive the information you choose to include (such as your email address and message) so we can respond.
Our applications. When you use an app such as HonoFit, we collect the information you provide and generate in the app — for example account details, and the fitness and health-related data you choose to log or connect. Details specific to each app are provided in that app and its store listing before you use it.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
- To calculate and display the features you use, such as a fitness Level in HonoFit.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To keep the Services secure and to prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Services (such as hosting, analytics, and crash reporting), and only as needed for them to perform those functions, or where required by law. These providers are bound to protect your information.
4. Data retention and deletion
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can delete your account and its data at any time — see Delete your account for both ways to do it and exactly what is erased.
How deletion works. Requesting deletion locks the account immediately and erases it 15 days later, so a request made by mistake can be called off in the meantime. Deletion removes the records themselves, including stored images, rather than anonymizing and keeping them, and it reaches our backups as those age out of their retention window and in any event within six months. We notify the service providers who process data on our behalf, and they are required to delete it too.
What survives a deletion. We keep a record that the request was made and honored — the email address it was made under, and the dates — so that we can demonstrate the request was carried out. We keep nothing else about the account. We may also retain information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to prevent fraud or abuse, and we will say so in response to a request where that applies.
5. Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@honolabs.io. Where our apps maintain an account, we also provide an in-app way to delete your account and associated data. We respond to rights requests within 45 days, and will tell you if we need a single further extension. If we decline a request you may appeal it by replying to our response, and we will explain the outcome in writing.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. If you are a Washington State consumer, the My Health My Data Act gives you rights over consumer health data specifically, including the right to withdraw consent and the right to have it deleted; the routes above are how you exercise them.
6. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
